Aracely – December 2nd
Aracely is a singer and songwriter living in Chicago who has deep roots in the American south. Her Latin and Texan heritage inform her sense of rhythm and style, while her faith and family life shape her lyrical content. Her start in music was as a founding member of the folk-rock band Seeds, with whom she wrote and performed from 1995-2000. Her recent recording Purple Flowers came about during treatment for thyroid cancer. She draws musical influence from the likes of Rich Mullins and Emmylou Harris with hints Innocence Mission and Mazzy Star. Her most recent project, Let it Go, was produced by folk maven Jan Krist with her husband Alan Finkbeiner at their studio in Indiana.
